We exist to give leaders the one thing that changes everything: clarity.

Clarion, The Owl - XCLARO

About XCLARO

Our Story

EXECLARO, LLC — operating as XCLARO, was founded on a simple but powerful conviction: that the most urgent problem facing today's executives and institutional leaders is not a lack of information, talent, or resources.

It is a lack of clarity.

In an era of VUCA — volatility, uncertainty, complexity, and ambiguity, organizations are drowning in data, competing priorities, and escalating pressure to perform. The leaders we work with are intelligent, driven, and deeply committed to their missions. What they need is not more analysis. They need a trusted partner who will look at their reality without flinching, tell them the cold, hard truth, and help them build the path forward.

That is XCLARO. A boutique consultancy that combines the intellectual rigor of top-tier strategy work with the directness, practicality, and personal investment of a true partner.

Why We Exists

Our Mission

To equip executives and leaders with the clarity required to make audacious, lasting improvements in performance, successfully navigate uncertainty, and build resilient, high-performing organizations.

Our Vision

To redefine executive leadership globally by making clarity the cornerstone of bold, inclusive, and sustainable growth in an increasingly complex world.

Our Ethos

We operate with integrity, intellectual honesty, client-centric collaboration, passion for meaningful results, and practical excellence. We commit to transparency, actively seek and value diverse perspectives, constructively challenge conventional thinking to drive better outcomes, and uphold the highest ethical standards, always prioritizing long-term client success over short-term gains.

Our Core Values

These are not aspirations. They are the operating principles that govern every engagement, every conversation, and every recommendation XCLARO delivers.

Our Approach

Our Approach: The ARC Framework in Depth

XCLARO's ARC Framework is not a checklist, it is a disciplined consulting methodology that ensures every engagement delivers measurable strategic clarity from day one through final implementation.

Phase 1: Assess — Diagnose with Precision

Before any strategy can be built, the true state of the organization must be understood. In the Assess phase, Xclaro conducts a structured organizational discovery using two primary analytical lenses:

  • McKinsey 7-S Analysis: We map all seven organizational dimensions — Strategy, Structure, Systems, Staff, Style, Skills, and Shared Values, to identify misalignments that are silently undermining performance. In manufacturing clients, this often reveals a gap between operational systems and leadership strategy. In higher education clients, it frequently surfaces misalignment between institutional values and enrollment decision-making.
  • Jobs-to-be-Done (JTBD) Discovery: We interview key stakeholders to understand what they are actually trying to accomplish the real "jobs" your organization, your customers, and your community need done. This reframes the strategic challenge from "what do we do" to "what outcome are we actually trying to create," which almost always reveals a more precise and solvable problem.

The Assess phase concludes with a diagnostic report: a clear, unvarnished summary of organizational strengths, structural risks, leadership gaps, and the highest-leverage opportunities for change.

Phase 2: Recommend — Strategize with Clarity

With clear diagnosis in hand, XCLARO develops a prioritized set of recommendations using two strategic frameworks:

  • SWOT / BCG Matrix Integration: We evaluate your competitive position honestly, identifying where you have genuine strengths to build on, where you face existential threats, and which parts of your business deserve investment versus restructuring. For manufacturing clients, this often means distinguishing between core capabilities and commoditized offerings. For higher education clients, it means identifying which programs are Stars worth investing in and which have become resource drains.
  • OKR Alignment: Every recommendation is framed as a set of Objectives and Key Results for clear, measurable commitments that connect strategic intent to operational action. This transforms our recommendations from advisory opinions into organizational accountability structures your team can own and track.

The Recommend phase concludes with a strategic brief: a concise, executive-ready document that answers three questions : Where are we? Where do we need to go? What will it take to get there?

Phase 3: Create — Execute with Confidence

Strategy without execution is decoration. In the Create phase, XCLARO builds the structures, tools, and plans that ensure recommendations become reality:

  • Implementation Roadmap: A phased, prioritized action plan with clear owners, milestones, decision checkpoints, and success metrics. Built for your team's actual capacity, not an idealized plan that collapses on first contact with reality.
  • Digital Marketing & Enrollment Strategy (Higher Education): For community college and university clients, the Create phase includes a full digital marketing strategy: persona development, paid search and social media campaign architecture, landing page strategy, CRM optimization, and enrollment funnel analysis. Grounded in digital best practices including GA4 analytics, UTM attribution, and multi-channel campaign management.
  • Change Management Architecture: People resist change they don't understand. We build the communication strategy, leadership alignment plan, and stakeholder engagement approach to ensure your organization moves together, not in spite of the change.

The Create phase is the proof of our work. When it is complete, your organization has not just a strategy, it has a clear, executable roadmap and the leadership alignment to act on it.

Will's background spans two decades of hands-on leadership serving Robert Weed Plywood Corporation, where a career built from the ground up, working across virtually every facet of the organization, forged a rare combination of operational depth, customer intimacy, and strategic business acumen. As a third-generation owner and leader, his most enduring professional satisfaction comes from guiding individuals and organizations toward their next meaningful stage of growth, while championing the transparency and supply chain discipline that elevate entire industries.

Will co-founded XCLARO drawn by the same conviction that defines the firm: that founder-led and emerging businesses deserve access to the strategic rigor, process discipline, and organizational clarity typically reserved for enterprise organizations. With deep expertise spanning supply chain strategy, customer experience, CI, obsolescence + cost/pricing architecture, financial planning and analysis, and organizational redesign, Will brings the kind of institutional knowledge that can only be earned, not consulted from a distance.

Beyond the boardroom, Will is a committed community advocate, serving on multiple boards and committees including the Boys & Girls Club and Horizon Education Alliance. A lifelong learner with passions ranging from soccer and percussion to the Notre Dame Fighting Irish and his beloved Chicago sports franchises, Will leads with both conviction and authenticity.

Jim's background spans enterprise-level leadership, including a rare four-level ascent from Business Development Executive, to Director of Sales to Vice President of Sales, Marketing, Customer Experience and Product, to Board of Directors in under three years at a $100M industrial manufacturer, his deepest professional satisfaction comes from helping founder-led and emerging businesses build the revenue infrastructure, operational discipline, and strategic clarity required to scale sustainably.

Jim co-founded XCLARO on a simple thesis: small and mid-market firms possess the agility and ambition to outpace larger competitors, but often lack the internal perspective, methodology, or bandwidth to architect sustainable growth. XCLARO exists to bridge that gap by delivering the strategic frameworks, execution discipline, and accountability structures typically reserved for enterprise organizations, adapted specifically for businesses navigating the transition from entrepreneurial hustle to institutional scalability.

Jim holds a Bachelor of Science from The University of Alabama and is completing a Master of Business Administration at Boston University's Questrom School of Business (expected 2028).

As Xclaro's Chief Clarity Officer, Clarion embodies everything the firm stands   for: relentless precision, an intolerance for noise, and an uncanny ability   to spot what everyone else in the room has missed. While others circle the   problem, Clarion has already landed on the answer.

Perched at the intersection of   insight and action, Clarion is the quiet reminder that clarity is not a soft   skill. It is the sharpest competitive edge in the room.

“The answer was always there.

You just needed clearer eyes.”
